June 29-30, 2010

Tuesday, 6/29:
Not much going on today. The girls went to daycare and Scout was sooo happy to see Miss Jay Jay. Jay Jay's been on vacation and it's been 2 weeks since she's seen her.

Mommy cleaned in the girls' room. It needed it. I noticed that, apparently, during her nap yesterday Scout decided to finger paint with poop. She had thrown her blanket and stuffed animals out of the bed, so the mess was all on the bed itself and the wall. Yep. We're horrible parents. Somehow, Michael and I both missed it and she slept in there last night with the poop. I wish I could say it was a lesson we were teaching her or something, but it wasn't. Anyway, here are a couple of before/ after pics of the room.

Looking at these pics, I need to move Scouts bed and mop under there. Ooops. I turned Dylan's crib around and moved the rocking chair in between the two to create a sleeping area and a playing area. :-) That stack of stuff in the corner is all being sold or donated very soon.

Wednesday 6/30:
This morning Scout and I went to story time at the library. Scout was a total brat. I hate to say it, but it's true. She didn't want to listen to the story and whined the whole time. So, we came home after story time, ate lunch, and she took a nap. After her nap, we tried out the new play area complete with forgotten toys. :-)




We played outside for a little bit while we were waiting for Dylan to wake up. At one point I asked Scout if she wanted to go swing on the big swing and she said, "No. It too hot outside. Wanna go inside." It must have been hot because she never wants to go back inside! When Dylan woke up, we played for a while inside


One of D's new words is "ball". She loves saying it and playing with them! This is her favorite to chase around the room. It's so funny because it's almost bigger than her!

She was so funny tonight! We watched Go Diego, Go and she was doing just what he told her to do. Running in place, jumping, and I got a picture of her covering up so the acorns wouldn't hit her on the head. Ha ha!


Just before bedtime, she served up some yummy ice cream
