Really? It's July? Where did June run off to? Today the girls went to daycare, Michael played D&D and I went shopping! :-D I stopped at Hobby Lobby first to get some picture frames for half off. Then I went to Joann's to get a scrapbook (to put the pages I have printed in!) for 40% off. Yes, I could have picked one up at Hobby Lobby, but they weren't on sale there and I had the whole day to myself, so I had time to go to more than one store. After that, I went down to DBU to have lunch with my sister, Sarah! (Hi, Sarah!) I got to see the beautiful new chapel on her campus, see her office (where my blog was up on her computer, ha ha!) and meet the people she spends her days with. Hello to any of you who may be reading over her shoulder! We ate at the student center next door and chatted a while. It was good to laugh and talk with her. I know she loves seeing the girls, but sometimes it's nice to have adult time, too. :o) When I left her campus, I went to the gigantic Half-Price Books store that's close to my work, but not at all close to home. I think I may have spent 2 hours in there just browsing. I picked up a couple of books (spent very little money, thank you!) and went to the Children's Place right up the street. It's in a brand new shopping center that I drove by every day on my way home from work, but had never had time to stop in. My overall impression? Love the store, but the center needs some work. It's not finished yet, and besides the store I went to, there was nothing else for me to do there. Oh well. Now I know. My next stop was close to home at Penney's. Aunt Michelle gave me a gift card there and I still had a few dollars left from one I got in March, so I thought I'd see if they had any clothes for work. My weight has been up and down so much the past few years (2 kids will do that to you!) and I need some clothes that I don't have to squeeze into or safety pin at the waist. I got this outfit:

And another similar one. The other one is the same type of shirt, only purple and long-sleeved, and dark gray checked pants. I love them!
I came home, unloaded the car, and turned around to get the girls. Scout told me as we were getting into the car, "I had a good day today. I played outside and sang songs. Claudi gave me a hug." I guess she's familiar with the standard questions I ask on the way home and wanted to answer them before I could get them out! Ha! Dylan has recently started nodding her head to answer questions and tonight I caught a whiff of something and asked her if she had poo poo in her diaper. She nodded, grabbed a diaper and handed it to me, and laid down on the floor. What a smart girl!
After I put them to bed, I started working on grading papers for my T.A. job. Have I mentioned that here? I'm too lazy to go back and look, so I'll assume I haven't and tell you about it... I'm in the "application and interview process" for an online teaching assistant position with Ashford University. Today was the first day I could grade my fake students' papers. I thought it would be easy, but it took me a while to figure out their system and how they wanted me to comment/ grade the papers. So, from about 8:30 until 11 or so, I graded a grand total of one paper. One down, three to go. Now I have a better idea of how to do it, so it should go faster. Now it's 11:45 and I'm off to bed. DH's friends are still downstairs playing D&D. I hope he knows it's his turn to get up with the girls tomorrow since I got up with them today! Ha! Goodnight, all!
