July 8 - 11, 2010

Well, I've gone and enjoyed life and forgot to blog about it again. lol!
Thursday 7/8:

The girls were in daycare and we painted the trim in the living room. We moved the couch to do it and oh, my! It was filthy!

Tonight Scout wanted to build a sandcastle. So she did. On the floor in the living room.

Isn't it beautiful?

Friday 7/9:
Today was a rainy, rainy day.
Dylan started really loving her dolly

Scout colored

Scout and mommy went to the grocery store and shopped the sale ads. They had a bunch of stuff on sale that we would have bought anyway and we saved a ton! Here's the proof

Yeah, that's right. I spent $87 and saved $59. I was so proud.

Saturday 7/10:

Our plan today was to go to the natatorium and swim (indoors, so it didn't matter that it was a little drizzly.) Sadly, they were closed for a swim meet so we didn't get to swim there. Here's Aunt Sarah and Scout getting ready to swim

We decided to go to the splash park instead since we were all in our swim suits anyway.

This afternoon, Aunt Sarah watched the girls and Michael and I went out for our anniversary (it's on Monday). We drove up to the casino in Oklahoma and confirmed that we do live closer to OK than to my job. Sheesh. Maybe I should work at the casino. Lol! After that, we went to Logan's Roadhouse for steak and saw "Despicable Me." It was a cute movie, but geared more towards kids than I thought it would be.

Sunday 7/11:

This morning Sarah went to church with me and when we came home, Michael had grilled burgers! Yummy!

Dylan played peek-a-boo with her shirt

Then mommy, Aunt Sarah, and the girls went to the natatorium like we planned yesterday. It was tons of fun, but very crowded. Aunt Sarah went to her house, and we came back to ours. We played outside some (it was the first sunny day in a while) and somehow Dylan cut her face and eye lid. It was really scary. I thought it was her eye - she was bleeding tears. We both had turned our heads for just a few seconds and that's all it took. She was playing with the cat and I think the cat may have had enough. Michael doesn't think the cat would have done anything without making any noise. I dunno. She was on the sidewalk and there was a small stick there, but it was so wet it bent and didn't feel sharp at all. The only other thing I can think is she hit her face on the utility pole that's right there. She had several marks on her face

She's okay, but not happy.

Scout insisted that I take a picture of her too, because she, apparently, scratched her eye as well.

Silly kid

hahaha...I love the picture of Scout looking at my coffee.
"What you doing Aunt Sarah?"
"Drinking my coffee..."
"Oh, I have some?"
