So, I can say that I feel like I am nesting now. I have done so many loads of laundry in the past few days, it's ridiculous. I mean, I washed all of these clothes before I put them away when Scout grew out of them. Why do I feel this compulsive need to wash them again? And how many blankets do I really need to wash? All 5,276 that we own??? No, really. I did three loads of just blankets and crib/ bassinet sheets. I've also put together the pack n play in our room, the bassinet downstairs, and packed my bag. Yes, I still have almost 4 weeks until the big c-sec delivery day. So why am I so anxious to get it all done now? The logical side of me says that it's Spring Break and that means I had time to get it done. The other side says there is no telling when this one will show up and I shouldn't count on having 4 weeks.
That being said, I have been having some pretty strong contractions the past few days. Strong for me anyway. I never labored with Scout since we knew it would be c-sec and my water broke when I was dilated to a 3. I remember having strong contractions (feeling much like now) the weekend before the Monday that she showed up. Anyone care to place bets on when this one will show?

Some of my favorite pictures
I just wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from the last few months.
So lady like

Here is our version of snow

Reaching for the camera

What does this ornament taste like?

If you look close enough you will see that is not a happy baby. That is a look of sheer terror for sure.

Christmas time in San Marcos

Scout with her cousin, Rio

Mommy and Scout

Daddy and Scout

Me, my bro and sis

Okay, really this time

Can you find the baby in this one? This was just after Christmas in her toy-explosion!

Little pigtails

First b-day - we had a snow day so got to stay home with her

Birthday party that weekend

Napping with Noa on the way home from Chad's graduation

Photo shoot with new toys

Crazy nap hair!

A fun spaghetti mess

My high chair is a good place to nap, right?

Giving it another shot
So, I am going to try this blogging thing again. I've run into problems finding the time to post anything... the site is blocked at work and I am just so tired when I get home that I have no desire to write about my day or thoughts or whatever. The good news is, we have about a month until baby girl Stephens #2 is here and then I will be home for about 6 weeks, at work for a couple, and then home for the summer. Not that I think I will have tons of time to post with two little girls under 15 months, but one can dream, right? I'm also dreaming of getting back into digital scrapbooking. I'm sad to say that I probably haven't created at single page since August of 08. I've got a lot to catch up on for Scout's book and now I'll have a whole new book to start!
So what's going on lately? Well, it's spring break this week, so I am supposed to be relaxing. Unfortunately, Scout has yet another ear infection. This means no rest for mommy. She is at daycare today, but they've called and said that her fever is way up again. I felt like a horrible person because I am at home, but I told them to give her some tylenol and see if it goes down. I feel like a good mommy would go get her baby right now, but I picked her up early yesterday and spent my whole afternoon taking her to the doc and pharmacy and then calming her down at home. There's really nothing I can do for her but hold her and rock her and I'm just not up to it right now. A good mommy needs to take care of herself sometimes too, right?
So, this week's goals are to get all of the regular laundry done including sheets on our bed and Scout's. I want to wash all of the newborn and 0-3 month clothes for this baby girl and get a few drawers cleaned out for her. I need to get the pack n play set up in our room, and wash all of the cloth parts to the bassinet.
That's all for now. The load of clothes in the dryer is calling to me. I'll try to come back and post some recent pictures in a bit...
