This morning, Michael got up with the girls and let me sleep in. Isn't he sweet? :o) When I got up, Dylan was already sleepy so she went down for a nap and Scout and I went to the library for story time. Today's stories were about manners. We also played a game where the librarian was a dragon and the kids had to get past her to get to her "treasure". Scout got two pieces of candy. We came home and Dylan was still asleep, so Scout and I had a picnic outside for lunch.
It was nice outside, so we played outside for a while
Then it was nap time. She put on the special nap time pajamas
Zipper in the back so she can't get out... aren't the cute? lol!
Check it out! No poop on the crib or the walls! There was some in her diaper, though...
Dylan woke up about the same time and ate her lunch. Then the girls and I went outside for another picnic. We had our strawberry shortcake this time.
After our shortcake, we ran around in the sprinklers for a while. Jacob came over and helped Michael dig some holes for fence posts. It felt good to be running in the sprinkler, but I'm sure they were burning up!
We dried off and changed diapers and clothes and Dylan went down for another nap. I swear, she would sleep all day if you let her. When she woke up, we went to Taco Cabana for dinner and Home Depot. We were the only ones at TC when we got there and we let the girls run around. When I got the high chairs over to the table, they ran to them. They may be little, but they know where the food is!
In the middle of dinner, Scout started talking about a spider on the floor. She's been doing this lately... talking about spiders and worms and monsters that aren't there. I looked and didn't see anything, so I just asked her what color it was and she said "white." I asked if it was a girl spider or a girl spider and she said it was a girl. I told her it was a friendly spider there to clean up the floor. She liked that and kept eating. A few minutes later she freaked out and said the spider was on her leg. I looked on the leg of the high chair and saw a fuzzy caterpillar! I brushed it off quickly and it ran straight for Dylan's high chair and started climbing up.
I flicked him across the room. :o) Scout wanted to drink from a big girl cup, so I gave her a little Dr Pepper in a cup. She did a great job with it. What a big girl!
After a stop at Home Depot we came home and Dylan went to bed. I checked my email and had a message from someone I had emailed about free kittens. Since we haven't seen the kittens that showed up for a week or so, I thought we'd look for some. Scout and I went and got this little cutie.
As you can see, he didn't want to stay in his box on the way home. He tried my shoulder, but I didn't want to drive that way (I had pulled over to get him off when I took the picture). I put him in the back seat, and he sat next to Scout the rest of the way home.
She's ecstatic about it. We're still waiting to hear a name for him. Of course, when we were sitting on the porch with him, I saw the other kittens playing in the barn. Oh well. This one will let us hold him at least. lol!

This looks like a fun day!! Can't wait to meet the new kitty when I come up tomorrow :)
Of course, I'm also super excited that I won't be dealing with the poop bandit...
