Day 10, 355 days to go.

POD
What a day! First to explain the picture: Scout got these pajamas from Aunt Michelle this year. They are too big for her now, but all of her other ones were dirty, so I put them on her last night. She threw a fit because she didn't want to put her PJs on (means bedtime is soon) so I pointed out that there was a pretty kitty on them. She pet that kitty as she went to sleep last night and pet it all morning. I had to snap a picture of her in it.

On to the day... this morning, Michael went out to give the dogs fresh water and the spicket had broken off of the house. Upon further inspection, the pipes underneath the house had frozen and burst. To make a very long story short, Michael was able to fix it himself, but we were without water for a while.

During that time, the girls and I went to go meet Aunt Sarah at the mall. She had brought some of our Christmas stuff back from San Marcos since our car was packed. We had to go get it! Okay, okay... and see Aunt Sarah. Scout was so excited. She kept saying "Sarah, Sarah, Sarah" all day. We played at the mall's play area and went to Target - but they didn't have any stage 3 food at all for Dylan! Can you believe it? So, once we left Aunt Sarah, we still had to go to Target. Just me and the girls. This was an adventure. Did I mention that Scout woke up early and, so, took her nap early - like she woke up at 10AM. So, Scout was extra tired. Also, Dylan was not feeling great. She's teething and snooty, so not a fun combination. Picture this: Dylan was in the top part of the buggy in her carseat and Scout was in the big part. I tried to keep the stuff in the underpart of the buggy, but I couldn't do that with the baby food. As you might imagine, Scout started tossing them out of the buggy when I wasn't looking. I started with 14 and made it home with 9. She threw one and broke it in the middle of the frozen food aisle. The girls went to bed early tonight. :-)

And now, I still need to clean in the kitchen, fold 3 loads of clothes, get the girls' daycare bag together, and take a shower before bed. It's 8:20. *sigh* But there is a documentary about the Simpson on television right now. Must... fight... urge.

***It is now 10:15 and I had to pop in to add something. I didn't gush enough about how lucky I am to have such a terrific husband. I mean, really. How many guys would attempt to fix a burst pipe under the house on a freezing cold day? In the mud, mind you, because of all of the water. Not to mention, have the tools, go to Home Depot to get the supplies, and have the skills to be able to do it. I am a lucky, lucky woman. And he cooks, ladies. But stay away! He's all mine. :-)***

Cute PJs!
Sorry about the pipe bursting that doesn't sound like much fun, Glad it was a quick fix.

Hope you get everything done.. and if not there is always tomorrow :) I am kid free tomorrow after 4:00 so that is when I am doing the house cleaning :)

Cute pajamas! But a rough day for you - we all have them, so I am sending a hug! I hate shopping with my boys (they are now 5 and 4 (in two weeks) and they have always been terrors when shopping!

As for your hubby, wow, we would have had to call someone in for burst pipes!
Hugs
