Purging

Michael went through his closet this weekend and got rid of all of his clothes that didn't fit. I got inspired. Today I went through the girls clothes. I brought out "new" clothes for Dylan since she is now getting too big for her 0-3 month stuff. I was going to keep some of the clothes out that still fit her, but when I started going through all of the 3-6 month stuff that we have I decided just to put it all away! Then I started on Scout's clothes and put up some of her shirts that don't fit anymore. She can still wear 12 month shorts/ pants so I left them out, but I got out all of the 18 month stuff, too. After talking to M, we've decided to take all of the clothes that D doesn't fit into anymore and see what we can get for them at "Once Upon a Child" (kids consignment store). It kind of makes me sad, but feels good to get rid of it.

We bought a few new shelves for their closet (it only had one running across the whole thing) and put them in, so now their clothes are more organized. :-)

Bagged up all of my maternity clothes!!! I'm donating them tomorrow. It's official. I'm not allowed to get pregnant for at least 3 or 4 years b/c I won't have the clothes for it. My closet is now soooo empty. I have plenty of long-sleeved stuff, but I prob won't need it until Oct/ Nov here. I wore jeans today and nearly died when we ran errands this morning. I'm starting to ramble now. I guess in summary, I feel good for purging, but kind of sad that I'm closing some chapters IYKWIM.

Over a month!

Fathers Day Weekend

Whew! We had quite a weekend! On Saturday we drove 3 hours to my mom's family's reunion. We stayed the day and then came back that night. Scout was very well-behaved. She's getting over her stranger anxiety finally. :-) Dylan was a good girl, too. A lot of the cousins and aunts and uncles had never met either of the girls and it was the first time for anyone but my parents to meet Dylan. Here are some of the highlights:

So then yesterday, our friends called and asked if we wanted to go to Wet Zone with them. Dads got in free. :-) It was our first time to go. Scout loved it! Even though we only stayed a couple of hours, took shade breaks, and reapplied sunscreen several times she still got a little pink. Dylan and I mostly sat under the umbrella, but we did go into the kiddie pool twice for about 10 minutes each time. Here are the pics:

Poor Scout

We went to the doc this morning (thought apt was this afternoon-thank goodness I put it in my phone's calendar so I wouldn't forget!) to collect urine for another culture. Hoping the Suprax is working and her urine is clean after the UTI. The cath itself was awful again. I felt so horrible for my poor little baby! Now this fun part... when they see babies this little with UTIs they like to run more tests to be sure they don't have Vesicoureteral Reflux... basically a condition which causes some of her urine to travel backwards and can cause kidney damage. Anyway, they have to do a renal sonogram and a VCUG (they inject dye and watch the 'flow'). Neither of which sound like much fun. They will be doing them on the 26th and since I will be back at work and can't afford to miss any days, Michael gets to take her. I don't know who I feel more sorry for... Miss Scout b/c she has to go through the procedure or Michael b/c he has to hold her. Anyway, keep us in your T&P... and now the pics... the doctor took forever to come in and Scout got bored so she played with mommy's sunglasses. I'm trying to keep my camera in the diaper bag to capture funny moments like these...















and afterward we went to McDonalds since she was such a brave girl... she got her very first happy meal! :lol:
