Back to it

I'm not even going to try to play catch up. It's been 2 years. M and I now teach at the same school and S & D started preschool in the same district this year and they love it. Here they are in all their toothy glory.

So here we go again... blogging... Our latest fun is a scout elf that we named Moxie.

The girls each have an elf on the shelf in their classroom, so I decided to get one for home, too. They think he's the funniest thing ever. I love seeing them so happy. Even if I do think Moxie could be Gilly's long-lost brother...

The things they say:

Mommy: And we'll see all of your friends at daycare today. We'll see Claudi... and Jessa... and Avery... and Miss Becki... and Miss Jamie... who else will we see?

Scout: Barney!

"No, mommy. Where did Sue Sue go?"
~Scout 2/6/10 (After I explained to her that Sue Sue had to go bye bye. I told her she went back to her house and that satisfied her. So much for the simplest answers!)

Mommy: Scout, you look thug-a-licious in that hat.

Scout: (smiles) Thanks!

Our cats names are now "Yogurt" and "Okee"
Yogurt because Caillou's cat's name is Gilbert and when Scout says it, it sounds like yougurt.
Okee is because I asked Scout what we should name the other kitty and she said "other kitty" which sounds like Okee in toddler-talk.

Mommy: Scout, we don't take toys away from Dylan. You have to share.
Dylan: No no no no no no no!
My 13 month old has learned the word no. Lord help us all!
