November 30 - Moxie's first trip to the North Pole

If you aren't familiar with the elf on the shelf tradition, I'll sum it up for you. Santa sends elves to help keep an eye on kids. The elf watches all day and makes a trip to the North Pole every night to report to Santa. When the kids wake up, the elf is in a new place, showing that he must have been up to something. You can't touch the elf or he will lose his magic (although, if you read on their webpage, the magic can be restored with cinnamon)  On Moxie's first night he whispered to me that he was hungry. When the girls woke up, he had taken the raisin boxes from their lunchboxes! They thought this was the funniest thing ever and talked about it all day. Silly Moxie!
