It rained all day today and when I went outside after work to feed the animals, I noticed a new friend traveling across our storm door...
So, are you tired of pizza/ spaghetti faces yet? We go to Pizza Plus every Friday and I think their faces get messier and messier every time we go. Today Scout wanted a whole piece of pizza for herself.
Dylan usually gets spaghetti from ear to ear, but today she added nose and forehead to the list! Eeek!
Saturday:
This morning Scout woke up, pooped in her diaper, and smeared it all over her bed before we got up to go get her. Nice way to start the day! Michael stayed home with the girls and I went to a job fair for teachers in Frisco. There were thousands of people there. I had two schools that were looking for a theatre teacher and said they would be calling me soon. I'm not holding my breath. *sigh*
This afternoon, we went to the Smothermon's house to hang out. While we waited for Noa to wake up from her nap, Scout decided to take a ride in Noa's block wagon.

When Noa woke up, we all went to the park by the lake and had a picnic! It was a first for my girls and they enjoyed themselves. Dylan fell asleep on the way there (10 minute drive) so I stayed in the car with her for a little while. When it started to get too hot, despite the open car doors, I woke her up and we joined everyone else. They were kicking the ball around. :-) Dylan was so tired that she didn't even want to get out of the stroller.

Then, the food was ready! We had burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, corn on the cob, and ice cream! Whew! Here's Scout showing off her corn on the cob. I think she likes it.

Scout and Noa both really liked their corn on the cob!

After we cleaned up, we went to the playground and the girls got to climb and slide. Dylan is still a little shaky with her walking, so the whole walking-on-rocks thing threw her for a loop. She preferred trying to eat them.

Dylan got sick in the car on the way home and threw up everywhere. We pulled over, stripped her, and wiped the carseat as best as we could. When we got home, we wiped her down better and she went to bed. Scout wanted to go sit in the hammock and look at the stars. So, we did. It was cloudy so you couldn't see any stars, but she sang twinkle twinkle anyway. After I put her to bed, I began the fun task of figuring out how to take the covers off of the carseats. It took forever! I finally got the covers in the washer (with Scout's dirty blanket and sheets from this morning) and the straps washed off in the sink. What a day!
