Today was a beautiful day... if it weren't for the wind! As I drove home from work, I felt like my car was pulling and started to worry a little bit, but then I noticed the trees bending the same way my car was pulling and realized it was the wind. When I got home, Michael was already here and told me that the power had been out for about 5 minutes. It was out for about 30 minutes and we never did figure out for sure why, but I'm sure it had something to do with the wind. We also had a small tree (it was dead already) snap and fall over.
We went and picked up the girls from daycare and came home and the girls ate... and ate... and ate! They were hungry munchkins. I fixed ravioli, green beans, and mandarin oranges for them. Dylan inhaled the oranges so I decided to open another container and split it between them. A few minutes later, Scout was out of raviolis and asked for more, so I made another batch of them, too. When they were done, there were 4 green beans left on Scout's plate and Dylan's was clean. Whoa! Growing girls! After medicine and teeth brushings, it was time for Dylan to go to bed.
Scout wanted to go play outside, so we did. :-) She noticed all of the limbs that had fallen and sang the clean up song and helped me put them into the brush pile. Here are a few pics
"Clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere!"

"Clean up, clean up. Everybody do your share."
Such a grown up face! (Please ignore the chocolate mess!)

Can you tell how windy it was?

That's the tree that fell down

"Yook, mommy! A fow-er!"

She cracked me up all night. We walked around the back of the barn to look around and Okee followed us. She kept picking up flowers, carrying them for a while, and then dropping them or asking me to hold them. Finally, she saw that my hands were getting full, so she said, "Here, Okee. You hold it," and put a flower on his back. lol!
Then we came back inside, changed her diaper, and put her pajamas on. I told her "I love you, Scout" and (for the first time ever) She said, "I yub you too, mommy". So sweet! It just made my night. :-)

Hooray for "I yub oooos" :) So rewarding to finally hear that for the first time. Glad the girls are feeling better!
