Is it Friday yet? No? How about June? Is it June yet? No? *sigh* I need a break. It was day two of TAKS testing today and it went pretty smoothly, I think. I mean, I was bored out of my mind, but there weren't any major behavior problems. Well, I left at 1:30 so if we had any, they happened after I left. I had to take Dylan to the ENT (Ear Nose Throat) doctor today. He said that with the frequency of her ear infections, he would recommend tubes. Well, at least I know from experience that they should help her out a lot. Let's see... Scout was a week shy of a year when she got her's and now Dylan will be about 14 months when she gets her's. She lasted 2 months longer! Ha!
On the way home from the ENT, Dylan fell asleep. I stopped to get Scout from daycare. She slept. We got home and I got Scout out of the car. She slept. Usually, the car door slamming once will wake her up, but she slept through the car door slamming 5 times! Here she was just before I woke her.
She was not happy about waking up. Poor baby was soooo tired tonight. I fed the girls early and Dylan went to bed at 6:15. Scout was in bed by 7:15. Neither complained. In fact, Scout told me about 7:10 that she wanted to go take a nap. So, we said our good nights to daddy and I took her upstairs. Some days I put her to bed at 8 and she still stays up for an hour talking to herself in her crib. Not tonight, though!
So, I tried to catch up on some laundry tonight. Something interesting is going on in the pockets of Scout's pants. I keep finding rocks and dirt in her pockets. I imagine a tunnel somewhere under the fence at daycare that she and her friends, Claudi, Jessa, and Avery are digging. One of these days I'm going to go to pick her up and they are going to tell me she made the great escape! Okay, okay. Maybe my imagination is going a little crazy. Or is it???
