Day 35, 330 to go

Is it Friday yet? Okay, only one more day. I can handle that. I got an email today that said that I get to wear jeans to work tomorrow because I had perfect attendance in the month of December! Hurray! The shortest month in the school year! lol! Well, it means I get to wear jeans, so I'm not complaining. My mom stayed home with Dylan again today and said she had a rough morning, but got better as the day went on. She wouldn't let mom put her down for naps, though. So my mom (being the I-must-spoil-my-grandchildren kind of grandma that she is :-)) just held her through all of her naps. Oh boy. Upon further probing, I found out that mom slipped down the last 3 stairs while carrying Dylan down sometime this morning. They're both okay. Mom said Dylan just laughed at her. I'm pretty sure she hurt her tailbone, though. I took that same fall when Dylan was about 5 or 6 weeks old and I know how bad it can hurt! I sent a text to Miss Jay Jay (Scout's teacher) around lunch to ask her how Scout was doing this morning. She had been super fussy and whiny before I took her to daycare and I wanted to make sure she was okay. Well, she said Scout was just fine. On my way home, I got a text that said that Scout was having a bad afternoon. She had two nasty diapers and a wicked diaper rash. She was clinging to Miss Jay Jay and just wanted to be held. I think she may be getting some molars in since she acted the same way when she got the first set in.

So now the dilemma... Michael got Mavericks tickets from a parent back in November for tomorrow night. They are 8th row tickets with a platinum parking pass. We've had this date night scheduled for months. My sis was planning to come out to watch the girls. But, now with Dylan being sick, Scout not feeling great, Mom falling, and (did I mention) my sister not feeling so hot either, I'm really torn. It's like everything is stacked against us going. But, I did make it a resolution this year to go out with Michael sans children at least every other month. *sigh* I'll probably go. Will let you know tomorrow (or Sat since if we go we won't get back until late tomorrow night)

So, now the POD

Dylan is playing now, but still not feeling good. Can you tell?
