The last bit of Dylan's cord fell off, so I was thrilled to be able to bathe her at last. This may sound horrible, but she has been smelling so bad lately! So, I searched the house and found the tub and insert

had to clean it out good

and put it together

then I got towels, lotion, and bath wash

oh, and don't forget pj's and a diaper!

Then I looked at the clock and realized I needed to go pick up Scout from daycare. Packed up Dylan in the carseat and went down the street to get Scout. I felt horrible for leaving Dylan in the car while I ran in got Scout... and while I brought Scout in the house. I can't wait until Scout is old enough to walk and I can get them both in at the same time. :-)
So, I put Scout in the high chair with a snack and put Dylan in her bassinet.

Got Scout her dinner... (we're working on holding the spoon!)

Then, of course, Dylan woke up hungry - an hour before she 'should' have. So, instead of taking Scout upstairs for her bath, I took her into the living room to play while I nursed Dylan. She didn't want to stay in and as soon as I opened the gate to come in with Dylan, she crawled out

I finally convinced her to come back in by using my secret trick... dvr'd episode of Jack's Big Music Show!

Fed Dylan

While Scout continued to play

Her new favorite spot by the window (she's looking for daddy)-

Dylan finished eating and fell asleep

So I took Scout upstairs. Should have given her a bath, but it was already 45 min past her bedtime, she was getting whiny, and I was too tired! So, she just went to bed.
Finally I got back to Dylan's bath! Note to self: feed D before bath time from now on!

all done!

but still not happy

That's my night! Thanks for looking.

HAHAHA! You did read my "Adventures in Mommyhood" story, right? This sounds SO familiar! Don't worry, you'll develop a system for everything! I remember those first few months, trying to recoup from giving birth, waddling down the stairs in clothes I'd worn three days in a row (that didn't fit), barefoot and carrying a kid under each arm. It's a glamorous life! :)
