What to do at home with the flu

So, you may be wondering, "What do you do with a toddler who has the flu?" Well, here's what we did!

We played with blocks

We had naked baby dancing time! (There was dancing right before this picture - I promise!)

Fun with paper towel rolls

We colored - not sure what she's doing with her left hand here... looks broken!

Happily showing off her full belly

How we spent most of the day

Mr Potato Head time

and today with her sister

Scout has really missed Dylan. I tried to separate them as much as possible so there was less of a chance for passing the flu to D. D's been sleeping in the pack n play in the guest room and when Scout wakes up and looks in Dylan's empty crib, she asks about her. She was also highly upset with me for not letting her play with "Diddle" yesterday evening. So sweet!!!

The things they say:

Mommy: And we'll see all of your friends at daycare today. We'll see Claudi... and Jessa... and Avery... and Miss Becki... and Miss Jamie... who else will we see?

Scout: Barney!

~Scout 1/27/10 (Jessa goes to school with her and she was telling me about what she thought was a crayon mark on the dishwasher. It was spilled spaghetti and Jessa's never been to our house.)

"No, mommy. Where did Sue Sue go?"
~Scout 2/6/10 (After I explained to her that Sue Sue had to go bye bye. I told her she went back to her house and that satisfied her. So much for the simplest answers!)

Mommy: Scout, you look thug-a-licious in that hat.

Scout: (smiles) Thanks!

Our cats names are now "Yogurt" and "Okee"
Yogurt because Caillou's cat's name is Gilbert and when Scout says it, it sounds like yougurt.
Okee is because I asked Scout what we should name the other kitty and she said "other kitty" which sounds like Okee in toddler-talk.

Mommy: Scout, we don't take toys away from Dylan. You have to share.
Dylan: No no no no no no no!
My 13 month old has learned the word no. Lord help us all!
